Installation part 1 of HPI System on Yamaha Chappy LB80

Installation part 2 of HPI System on Yamaha Chappy LB80. I got her started and running finally. I had issues with the stator grounding out against the case through the stator plate and screws as I had chipped off some paint from the stator plate. I fixed that with some plastic/nylon screws. I guess I could repaint the stator plate. Also my wires got caught between the case and the stator cover (make sure they stay in the channel before you button it up). And finally, I found the mark that you line up with the mini-rotor mark. Chappy flywheel spins counterclockwise, fyi. And I’d like to correct a myth circulating on the internet, black oxide coated bolts do conduct electricity. Yes they do! Don’t listen to what anyone else tells you.
Adding a flywheel weight to improve shifting from 1st to 2nd gear and it worked! Almost there – just have to do some fine tuning.
